The Summer Singers is led by a volunteer board and our conductor, Vicki Peters.

Vicki Peters, Conductor
Vicki graduated from St. Cloud State University in Music Education (vocal emphasis) receiving three scholarships (voice, choral, and opera) and Phi Kappa Phi membership. Her voice teacher/coaches include Charles Peterson, David Hamilton and Lucy Thrasher while also receiving conducting instruction from Rene Clausen and Dale Warland.
Vicki is a private voice teacher, frequent soloist, and currently sings with The
Singers, Minnesota Choral Artists, directed by Matthew Culloton. In addition to
directing The Summer Singers, she has taught music at Fridley High School and
has directed vocal, handbell, and orchestral groups at various churches for 16
years. Vicki was a project singer for the Dale Warland Singers, soloist for both
Two Rivers Chorale directed by Bruce Phelps and Tim Sawyer and North High Alumni
Choir, directed by Carl Lipke. She was also assistant director for the Two Rivers
Chorale and North High choirs and a soloist on European tours with both choirs.
Vicki is a clinician and judges State Solo/Ensemble and large group contests,
is a member of ACDA, and serves on the State High School League Contest Music
Selection and Review Committee.
