History

The Summer Singers is a chamber-sized, all-volunteer, vocal ensemble with a unique identity and purpose. Most of us sing with leading Twin Cities choirs and choruses during the Fall through Spring season, and we don’t want to give up singing for the entire summer!

From May to July, in nine weeks of rehearsal, we produce a professional-quality program and perform live local concerts. We were founded in 1986 and some of us have been members since almost the beginning. The focus and intimacy of our singing is vigorous and extremely fun! We take our music very seriously because we believe in the magic of choral music, knowing what we create together brings us more love, more good and more life.
